busy wif solar car

Heh ... very busy these 2 days, and looks like it will be that way for the rest of the sem. We obtained the solar cells, and broke one today during testing = $20 down the drain. Rushing now to get all the CAD drawings nicely rendered for presentation.

Maybe will take a few pictures on Thurs then can post it... the silicon cell that breaks like potato crisps.

Oh! Going down to National Stadium tomorrow for the soccer match. Hahaha... my first time in a soccer match at National Stadium. Lets hope there is fun and action!

thoughts out loud ..

Today is a day of coincidence... Went for a photoshoot in the morning, met a TPJC SSC junior who is applying for a bursary from MOE. Long time no see, and thru him, i got to know of the bursary and the last day of application was actually last Friday.
So i requested forms from the nice lady in charge, and she was like.... 'is this your 1st time applying?' and i answered cheekily 'Yes! Unfortuately, we are in our final year.....can claim for the past 3 years?'
Not surprisingly, the answer was 'no'. But .. at least i could get it for this year. heh! Told everyone i see along the way, think Uncle Teng, Roy and dunno who will be applying. Its free money anyway.

My thoughts... dunno why tonight my thoughts are about thinking about my relationship, my major choices in life so far. What would it have been if i chosen a different path instead. I guess most people would at some point in time, reflect about such things.
Nope. I'm not sad nor depressed... more like, analysing and wondering the 'what ifs'. And the biggest one would be... if i am not around anymore, what would life be like for the people around me? my family and friends, they all would have moved on and life will be as usual by now, 1.5 years later.
I guess people come and go, different friends stay in your life during different periods of your lifetime. Some come and go, some become long friends, some drops by very occasionally .. and those who passes away, gives a chance for others to meet up... hmm.. weddings also give people a chance to meet up ba. =P except one is in happiness and the other in 'rememberance' (dunno the spelling, lazy to cut and paste in word to check).
Many friends are asking on whens my wedding..... despite being the longest running relationship among my friends so far (> 10 years), i would probably be the last to tie the knot. David already proposed to Fen and they are happliy house hunting now (2nd longest running @ abt 9 yrs). Xiaoming and CBT would be up next, probably in 2008 is my guess.
Due to unique cicumstances (ironic as everyone's situation is unique =P), cant make much plans for the future, so like kind of stagnant ba. Although i am living in the now, a plan for what i want to do in the next 5 years etc etc, i can't have anything planned for us in the future. Hiaz.... would this be a severe problem in the future? i dont know.... as they say, only time will tell. =p

A wonderful wedding + meet up

I got home at 4+ from NTU yesterday, changed up and before i left home for Weibin's wedding, Boon Tat called and offered a ride for us. Due to delays etc etc, 5 of us (CBT, Dav+Fen, Wheng+me) took a road trip to Rasa Sentosa for the dinner. After a few extra 'circles' of short detours, we made it just in time for the dinner and went in just before the couple's 1st march in. heh.

It was a fun meet up, and looks like more weddings coming this 2 years. Looks like I am really no longer young liao, previously my female friends are getting hitched, now is my male friends. But i would have at least 5~10 years to go? or probably never... hmmm...

Drank a bit yesterday... 1.7 glasses of Tiger beer and 0.5 glass of red wine. The white wine = no good. Still ok, but getting headache so stopped. hahaha

Well.... here's a photo of the christmas party we had last year..... it was downloaded to home com, so managed to find time to load it only today... heh. Thats the Santa Claus, her elf and the reindeer. (Note the mahjong table in the background.... thats reindeer and elf's common pasttime)

A busy week so far

Its been rather busy this week, mainly with Ralos and good to see the team progressing well. Although we are much delayed, nonetheless, i think the team is movin ahead and will be able to meet required timelines.

Watched a few movies (long parts) during lessons this week. 2 movies are part of my GE requirements, the other 2 is during HRM (Human Resource Management). Had fun and was laughing away from jokes by Roy on the 'Swear brotherhood' thingy...

We (Ralos team) went down to Dynaglass, a composite fabricator, which would be doing up the carbon fibre shells for us on Wed. Learnt quite a lot over there. I got the entire team to go down, only Andy couldnt make it cos of lab(cant skip that), as it would be an eye opener for all of us. i feel that the good thing about this project is that the team members can obtain much experience in many aspects.

Going for Weibin's wedding later this evening at Rasa Sentosa where they will exchange wedding vows by the sea. Lets hope that the weather holds, mid/low level clouds to the west, then maybe can get some golden rays of sunset luminating the couple. =) Like that then romantic mah.... wonder whats the sunset timing today.... its been a long time sine i touched the nautical almanac liao.

Thinking of that, do miss the days of being required to calculate sunrise, sunset (gyo check); moon rise/set (for naval tactics, etc). And also calculating where the major constellations will be (for fun and interest), especially on overseas trips. The chatting/bonding with the guys on duty on the bridge was one of the best part of being onboard. The HRM prof was talking about bonding onboard ships, especially during stormy seas..... that is one thing i understand completely, hmmm... maybe because i went through it? =P

a sleepy weekend

Was tired out yesterday, sleeping my way through Sunday as it rained rained and rained. So tired and was snoozing away, that i forgotten to go Silra home, have to remember next week, gotta check with Chinese doc to see if he is going.

Had lunch at Chinatown with yx and linda on Sat... yes, i am the lightbulb. Tried the claypot fish head bee hoon, my 1st time and probably the last. Dont misunderstand, it was good, but too troublesome with all the bones and stuff. Left for home after that, and met Zhenqi wif bf on bus 12. Small world. =)

Wanted to sleep early, but watched Totte-whatever-ham vs Newcastle in the eve hours of the morning yesterday and yes! Newcastle won 3-2. hahaha. Yeah! =D

Realised i sounded like a pervert...

Reading my post yesterday, sounded like a desperate pervert. hahaha... oh well, it probably shows the big difference in male-female ratio between engineering course and all other courses.

The past week was gone in a flash, but i guess quite a bit of things are getting done. Hopefully the skool can give us a room where the team can co-locate together.... hmmm.. have i wrote this previously? Sounds like my major wish for the solar team at the moment.

Good to know that everyone is gearing up, for their fyps and studies too. For me, moving up, typing stuff out for fyp report, intro and conceptual design stuff, abt 5 pages so far. =) Cos the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step... once i start moving, will be easier to carry on with the momentum. And i find it easier to edit then write. =P

Was actually tempted to relax this semster, went to check wif butler see if have chance for 2nd upper, apparantly still have chance, how much i dunno.... does it mean that this sem have to obtain straight As? hiaz.. hefty proposition manz. 6 modules get 6 As? hmmm ... a challenge nonetheless... maybe will try, depends on how fyp goes ba. And the exam timetable for the 1st week is packed too.

Well ... going back today, will need to check for Singtel's new promotion on Mio !! maybe get some savings and get my brother to pay me for the broadband charges for the past few months, cos he is the one playing WOW. =P

Wishing all a fine weekend ahead! Get a good rest and not to mention fun too!

Day 4 of the new sem

Tried to add an entry yesterday, but it failed to load. Hopefully this time, it will work. =)

Different feeling since the school started. My final sem in NTU, so i guess its time to treasure the time in NTU, the walking the lectures, uber crowd at Can A and the last chance of sitting in LT 1A with so so so many females (my General Elective so not engineering moduel) .... cos to engineering course, females are a rare breed. The GE i am taking is 'Science or friction-Biology in popular media', so quite relaxing and informative. =D

Lets try if this gets posted...

Registered for subjects lor

Registered for my last few modules for the last time (i hope), for my final semester in NTU. =D Still have quite a bit of stuff to do, FYP seems to have lots of things undone. ..hiaz... need to rev up more liao.

Exercised today with abdminton from 5~6:30 in the evening with yx and andy. Very tired out now, think will do my logbook and begin my FYP report tomolo. Right now, here's a picture of the price difference between peeing and shitting. And that will be 0.50 Euros, abt S$1.

Happy 2007 !!!! =D

Happy new year to all !!!! 2007 liao lor !!! =D

Spent the last day of 2006 driving around cos i had to pick up the car from the workshop for my dad after it broke down in the morning. hee hee. Woke at 1130, a good rest with plenty of exciting dreams- think i watched too much CSI.

Didnt join yx & friends for K nor countdown cos have to get the car, drive around to buy stuff wtih my gf and pick up my dad from the fish farm at 7pm. Intended to go Ikea, so my dad drove us to Ikea, tampines as it was on the way back, saw that there was NO crowd!!! Wow!! Decided to drive my dad home, and take the car. Then when i happily drove to Ikea again, then realised that Ikea was closed liao..... no wonder there was no crowd. Well, on the bright side of things, it was the last stupid thing that i did in 2006. hahaha. We laughed and met some friends at Bedok interchange instead.

Countdown at my gf place with shean and joanne, amazingly, we could catch some fireworks (the higher ones) from bedok reservior, heh heh, without the crowds and all. =D
